Air Commando earns Distinguished Flying Cross
A 7th Special Operations Special Mission Aviator was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross last Friday, June 2, 2017. U.S. Air Force Technical Sergeant James M. McKay was decorated for his actions during an urgent evacuation of American citizens in Africa on December 21, 2013. While attempting the evacuation, the flight of three CV-22 Ospreys was targeted and hit multiple times by surface-to-air fire from ground forces.

352d SOW Spouse Appreciation Day
Air Commandos move back and forth, preparing the hangar to host the annual 352d Special Operations Wing Spouse Appreciation Day on May 25, 2017. The static displays are set, the Airmen are in place, the food is ready to serve and the weather couldn’t be more ideal for flying. The mission for the day is to give spouses an insider’s look at the wing’s mission, express gratitude for their support and sacrifice and, of course, have fun.
