67th SOS, 48th FW train to track, target, destroy
U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Jeremie Anderson, 67th Special Operations Squadron MC-130J Commando II loadmaster, prepares to drop an LUU-4/B flare during a training mission Sept. 8, 2015, over the North Sea. Anderson tossed the flares from the back of the aircraft for 48th Fighter Wing F-15 pilots to track, target and destroy. The 67th SOS and the 48th FW organized the two-day mission in order to provide realistic targeting training for F-15 pilots. Although the primary use of the flares are for search and rescue missions, instead they were used for targeting practice due to an upcoming expiration date. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt.
